Associate Attorney

Courtney Wachal joined Minsky McCormick and Hallagan P.C. in 2021 as an associate attorney. Courtney has in-depth knowledge of employment-based immigration and experience with extraordinary ability and national interest waivers for nonimmigrant and immigrant visas. Before joining Minsky, McCormick & Hallagan, PC, Courtney worked as an associate immigration attorney at the Chicago office of an employment-based immigration firm where she handled O-1 visas and I-140 petitions, specifically National Interest Waiver (NIW), EB-1A extraordinary ability and EB-1B outstanding researcher. During law school, Courtney participated in pro bono projects through Church World Service, where she assisted in screening clients applying for citizenship. While in law school, Courtney worked as an intern at U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services (USCIS) in the Family Immigration and Victim Protection Division, where she assisted in drafting policy memos and working on a policy for U, T, and Special Immigrant Juvenile (SIJ) visas.
