He will be remembered by our staff as being kind and generous with his time and expertise, and as having an incredible sense of humor. Everyone loved working with him and we will miss Steve tremendously and wish him all the best in this next chapter of his life.
Below is a statement from Steve on his retirement.
Dear MMH team & clients,
I hope that you and your families are healthy and doing well. I am writing to inform you that after almost 20 years of practicing immigration law at Minsky, McCormick & Hallagan, P.C., I will be officially retiring on Dec. 1, 2020. It has been an honor and a privilege to assist you in the often-challenging immigration cases and to assist you in addressing the concerns that you had brought to my attention over the past two decades, and that have also resulted in so many opportunities for me both professionally and personally. As a lawyer and a partner at the firm, I have been fortunate to represent both large and small organizations, and individuals and families, who have often faced very serious and potentially life changing circumstances. To the extent that I have been able to have a positive impact on clients, I am extremely grateful.
Over the years there have been many changes in immigration law, many of which have been detrimental to the lives of both immigrants and nonimmigrants, and which continue to this day. I feel fortunate that I have been able to work at a firm that cares about all its clients, practices law at the highest standards, and which provides employees opportunities and support often unavailable elsewhere.
I know that you will continue to receive excellent services from the professional and dedicated staff at Minsky, McCormick and Hallagan, P.C. I am grateful to have worked with you and been able to help make a positive difference in your lives. While leaving the firm, I plan to continue to stay involved in immigration in various capacities and look forward to spending more time with my family while engaging in interests that I have had to postpone. Thanks to everyone, and I wish you the best in the future.
