Ana Valenzuela joined Minsky, McCormick & Hallagan, P.C. in 2021 as an associate attorney. Ana’s practice focuses on removal defense and family-based immigration, including family-based petitions, waivers, adjustments of status, and naturalization. Her practice also includes asylum, U-visas, and VAWA self-petitions. Ana has practiced immigration law in the Chicago area since 2015. Prior to joining Minsky, McCormick & Hallagan, P.C., Ana was a supervising attorney with National Immigrant Justice Center’s Immigrant Legal Defense Project. She also supervised the Immigration Court Helpdesk. Ana received a bachelor’s degree in political science and international studies from Northwestern University. While in law school, Ana was an intern with LAF’s Immigration Project and an extern with NIJC’s Adult Detention Project. She is an active member in the Chicago Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and was named a Rising Star in Immigration by Super Lawyers Magazine in 2024. Ana previously worked at our firm as a legal assistant from 2006 to 2012.
