Tahreem
Kalam

Tahreem Kalam joined Minsky McCormick and Hallagan P.C. in 2014 as an associate attorney and has been named a Rising Star in Immigration by Super Lawyers Magazine for every year since 2017. Tahreem’s practice focuses on employment-based immigration law including non-immigrant visa petitions such as H-1B Visas, L-1 Visas, TN visas, and employment based Green Cards including the PERM labor certification process and EB-1 Managerial or Executives for Green Cards. She works with a variety of business clients from small local employers to multinational corporations. Her practice also covers family-based immigration and citizenship.

Tahreem strives to provide her clients with excellent communication and fast turnarounds, while ensuring the strongest case possible. Having gone through the immigration process herself, Tahreem is able to uniquely relate to clients needs and concerns and understands the life changing opportunities that come with the US Immigration process to individuals and their families for generations to come.

Prior to joining MMHPC, Tahreem practiced individual and family-based immigration law at another local Chicago firm. During her time in law school, Tahreem worked for a prominent Chicago family law firm and clerked for the Circuit Court of Cook County in the Domestic Relations Division and the Chancery Division. Tahreem also volunteered her time mentoring and tutoring adolescent refugee girls to guide them in adjusting to their new life in the United States.

Tahreem is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). She graduated from DePaul University College of Law in 2013.
