Patricia Capt

Senior Attorney

Patricia began her career as a lawyer with the Cook County Public Guardian’s office in Chicago, where she represented abused and neglected children in Juvenile Court, and adult individuals requiring a guardian over their persons and estates in Probate Court.  Prior to joining MMH, she served as the Managing Partner of Carpenter & Capt, Chtd. for over thirty years. In addition to her management responsibilities, she led the firm’s family-based immigration practice, including handling waivers and advancing arguments that waivers were not required where the categorical approach demonstrated that the least proscribed conduct did not trigger inadmissibility. She began her career passionately working with children and families and has continued helping the same clients in the immigration realm.
